Let's explore the component permissions feature

Component permissions allow form builders to control who is allowed to respond to specific questions within a form. This can be useful for complex scenarios like building a multi-step which requires input from different employees.

To configure the permissions on different components (or even sections) you can use the steps below:

  1. Open the settings for the specific component. Within the display tab configure it to be hidden or disabled by default

  2. For the same component settings navigate to the permissions tab. Here you can set exceptions to the rule set up in step 1 by setting permissions for individual users. There are three permissions you can assign which are outline in the table below.

Edit

Edit component permissions will allow the specified user to see and response to the specific component/question

View

View component permissions will allow the specified user to see the component/questions. However, the component will be disabled to prevent the user from responding to the specific question.

Hidden

Hidden will prevent the user from seeing the question entirely.
