Grouping Forms in the Forms List (Coming Soon)

Categorize your forms using custom property headings

Updated over a week ago

Grouping allows you to categorize your forms list by creating distinct headings based on a specific property. Instead of a long, flat list, your forms are organized into sections, making it easier to scan and locate relevant items.

When you apply a group, the system looks at the property you have chosen (e.g. Department or Status) and creates a heading for each value found. The relevant forms are then displayed underneath each heading.

Multi-Select Field Support

You can group by any field type, including multi-select properties (such as multiple Project assignments).

If you group by a multi-select field, a single form may appear in multiple places within the list. For example, if a form is assigned to both "Project Alpha" and "Project Beta", and you group by "Project", that form will appear under the "Project Alpha" heading and under the "Project Beta" heading.

Group Configuration Options

When configuring your group settings, you have additional controls to refine the view:

  • Sort Groups: You can determine the order in which the headings appear (e.g. sort the group names alphabetically A-Z or Z-A).

  • Hide Unassigned: By default, forms that do not have a value for the grouped property will appear in an "Unassigned" group. You can hide this group by toggling the slider, meaning forms with no value for the group property will not be visible in the view.
