Add a custom form icon

Let's explore how you can use a custom form icon to help differentiate one form from another

Updated over a week ago

Team Forms allows you to set a custom form icon to help differentiate between different forms. As an author, you have the option to change the icon directly from the main screen or from the builder screen by following the steps below.

  1. Click the form icon. This is located to the left of the form name in the main screen and in the top right-hand corner on the form builder screen

  2. In the icon menu that appears select a preferred colour, followed by an icon form the available options.

Upload your own icon

Team Forms does not currently provide a way for authors to upload their own image to use as a form icon. However advanced users can still use their own custom images by following the steps below.

Icons must be .svg vector files to work

  1. Open the SharePoint site for your team and locate the form.config.json file for your specific form

  2. Upload your svg file to the icon tool below to generate the string representing your icon.

  3. Replace the icon field in your form.config.json file with the string generated by the tool.
