Lets explore how you can use form life cycles to review changes and create testing environments for forms

Updated over a year ago

In most applications building a form can be as simple as going from build to deployment in a matter of minutes. However, in some advanced use cases, it may be desirable to incorporate a review/testing stage before a form (or draft changes) are published and made available to responders. In these situations, the life cycle of the form can include a review stage as shown below.

Review Changes

When building or modifying a form in the form builder, the changes are saved in a draft state and are only available to responders once the changes are published. Draft changes are still available to users with the reviewer or author role via the "Review Draft" feature. This allows you to review the draft changes before they are published to end users. The screen will allow you to view the form as it would appear on different devices, how the generated PDF will look and even trigger power automate flows which are set to the draft environment.
